ACT Expo Preview

Fuel and trucking efficiency is a topic at the forefront of business operations for fleet owners and large corporations. The ACT Expo in Long Beach, Calif., displays the latest innovations and technologies in alternative fuels to meet business goals.

Taking place May 2-5, the ACT Expo will feature more than 250 exhibitors on alternative fuels, technologies and policies for all truck weight classes. All alternative fuel types are represented, including natural gas, electric, hybrid, hydrogen, propane autogas and renewable fuels.

The biggest advantage of the ACT Expo is that it allows attendees to touch, feel and examine equipment up close, versus reading about it online or in a brochure. Attendees can also speak directly to engineers and manufacturers to gain clarity on these advanced fuel technologies and products.

At the ACT Expo, Freightliner Trucks will display a variety of alternatively fueled vehicles from the Daimler Trucks North America, LLC product portfolio, including:

• Freightliner Custom Chassis will display its S2G propane powered pickup and delivery truck
• Thomas Built Buses will display a Saf-T-Liner® C2 powered by CNG
• Freightliner Trucks will feature a CNG-powered 114SD roll-off container vocational truck, 2 Cascadia natural gas tractors (one CNG and one LNG) and a Tymco M2 112 CNG-powered sweeper
