Extreme-Climate Thermal Cab Insulation
Vocational trucks face some harsh conditions, especially during the winter months. Freightliner offers extreme-climate thermal cab insulation to shield drivers from Mother Nature and boost their productivity. Jack Frost won’t be nipping anyone’s nose with this insulation.
Heated Windshield
The optional heated windshield features seven strategically placed defroster vents and electric heat elements in the bottom portion of the windshield to help reduce snow and ice accumulation. In addition, the windshield wipers rest directly over the heat elements to prevent wiper icing.
Under-Cab Storage for up to Three Batteries
Freightliner vocational trucks feature under-cab storage for up to three batteries to free up rail space for easier upfit of the hard-working equipment behind the cab.
Spacious Cab
The spacious cab in Freightliner’s vocational truck models allows plenty of space for toolboxes, paperwork, and a winter emergency kit. Encourage operators to pack an extra hat, pair of dry gloves, blanket, flashlight, and flares in the event of a breakdown or road closure.
Quick and Easy Upfit for Snow Plows
Freightliner severe duty models offer 12” or 24” front frame extensions, frame liners, and a reinforced crossmember for wing plow support. The SmartPlex™ electrical system allows for seamless electrical integration and numerous safety parameters. These features make upfit a breeze and can increase uptime for snow plows.
