The Freightliner Trucks Hardest Working Cities program launched at the NTEA Work Truck Show in Indianapolis in March. Salt Lake City, Utah, will be recognized as a hardest working city and honored on May 28th. This program recognizes the dynamic role vocational trucks and the men and women behind them play in stimulating economies throughout the United States and Canada.
Freightliner Trucks conducted a thorough review of public and industry information to determine cities that were working the hardest and having success in driving the economy. Approximately 400 American and Canadian metropolitan areas were analyzed, using 11 different categories of data. This data ranged from total employment and average hours worked to the number of jobs in key industry sectors such as construction, manufacturing and logistics.
