In case you missed it, the 2017 WasteExpo took place May 9–11 in New Orleans. WasteExpo is designed for waste and recycling leaders, and is where the best minds in the waste, recycling, and organics industry turn for inspiration, innovation, and guidance. So naturally, Freightliner Trucks was there.

The Freightliner booth had an impressive variety of trucks on display, including:

Freightliner trucks, including the M2 106, 108SD and 114SD, are ideal for waste haulers, recyclers and roll-offs due to their excellent performance and maneuverability. In addition, their excellent visibility, low step-in height and tight turning radius make it much easier for drivers to navigate neighborhood and city streets on their routes.

Starting in February 2018, the M2 106 and 108SD will be available with the new Detroit® DD8 Medium-Duty Engine, featuring longer maintenance intervals and improved fuel efficiency. Vehicles equipped with the DD8 will feature Detroit Connect Virtual Technician® remote diagnostic service, which helps fleets make informed maintenance decisions to improve uptime and the vehicle’s Real Cost of Ownership. The Detroit DD8 is a 7.7-liter inline 6-cylinder medium-duty engine with a horsepower range of 260–350 hp and a torque range of 660–1050 lb-ft.
